Amy's Bridal Shower 5/3/2009
This morning Angela and I got up really early and went down to have breakfast at the Urban Farmer. It was delicious! After that we headed over to Amy's mother's house to set up for the shower. There was alot of setting up to do because there was so much detail. The shower was great, Amy had a blast and so did the guest!
Girls Weekend in Portland, OR 5/2/2009
This weekend is Girl's Weekend and Amy's Briday Shower!! I got up like at 6:30 this morning to drive to Cottage Grove, OR to pick up Amy's corsage for the shower, it turned out beautiful. Then I went by Jeff's house to pick up Angela who went with me for the weekend. After that we had to drive out to Fern Ridge to pick up the cake for the shower, the shower is on Sunday. After all of that we finally headed northbound to Portland!!
We arrived at our hotel which was located in downtown Portland! It's called The Nines Hotel and it is on top of the Macy's. The check in and lobby/restaurant are located on the 6th floor of the building and the rooms are on the 7th through 14th floors. This hotel houses over a million dollars of artwork!
We got a Superior Suite and it was on the 9th floor. We had an awesome view of the atrium! This place was very modern, new and amazing! There was a restaurant called the Urban Farmer and The Cellar which were located in the Atrium. The skylight was beautiful too!
Angela and I went walking around downtown to explore and SHOP! We ended up going to the massive Ross Dress for Less store and found the cutest dress for Angela to wear at dinner. After we left there we ended up stopping at a little tavern for happy hour. We each go a cosmo and some sliders. They were delicious!!
Thank goodness our hotel was right across the street though, because it started pouring rain when we left. So we finally got back to our room and started changing for dinner. Amy and Kaylee were meeting us in the lobby, so we came down and brought them up to the room to check it out. Then we all had to scurry to the very bottom level of the building in order to take another elevator to the very top of the building. The restaurant was on the roof, it was called Departure. Amazing food, we had squid with roasted veggies, seared Ahi, Sushi, and I can't remember what else we got, everything we got we shared though. LOL
After we left Departure we all went back to our hotel room to change into something more dance friendly! LOL We went to this place in China Town, which is another section of downtown Portland to this club called Dirty. We all had so much fun there.
After leaving Dirty we walked Amy to her car as it was already midnight and she drove us to another club called Envy. It was only me, Angela and Kaylee at this point and we ended up running into some of Kaylee's friends. We danced a little bit here.........
...and then ended up catching a cab to take us all back to Dirty, the first place we started at!

Amy's Dinner Party-Vancouver, WA-4/25/2009
Today I drove up to Vancouver, WA to attend our friend Amy's Dinner Party she had for the bridesmaids in her wedding. It was really fun, we had spaghetti for dinner and the theme is beachy so we had pina colodas! We also tied blue ribbons onto the bubbles that will be given out at the wedding. I stayed the night with Amy and Paul and talked about wedding stuff. We also ended up staying up till around 12:30am playing Monopoly! It was really fun cause Paul went bankrupt!! LOL
Julia's 29th B-day BBQ Bash!
Saturday, April 11th we invited several of our friends over to celebrate Julia's 29th Birthday. We had a BBQ (not a cookout, this is for the people not from the south) that turned out great! The day before, Chris made mini Angel food cakes for the strawberry shortcake desserts. Here are some pictures.

Super Bowl Party at the Volks

Chris' 35th Birthday
Tonight we went over to Jeff's house to celebrate Chris' 35th birthday. Jeff cooked dinner on his new grill and we had such a great time! Jeff and Angela got Chris a Guitar Hero Guitar! Now that is exactly what he wanted!

We got invited to spend Christmas Day with Jeff's family over in Salem, OR so after we had breakfast we all headed up that way. They kind of adopted us into their family and it was so nice to spend the day with them!
